Farmington River Trail map snippetThe Farmington River Trail is tucked alongside the Farmington River, and winds its way from Farmington to Simsbury.  It is one of the most stunning stretches of rail trail in all of Connecticut.

The Farmington River Trail connects to the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail at both ends, creating a 28-mile loop.  It is the perfect complement to this section of the Farmington Canal Heritage trail, and provides trail users with an enjoyable trek through six towns:  Farmington, Unionville, Burlington, Collinsville, Canton, and Simsbury.
